Where do you photograph family and child portraits?

Children and family images can be photographed in your personal family garden or on-site at one of the many beautiful natural settings in southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. Please consult me for ideas about where to do your location shoot.

What is the best time for taking outdoor photos?

I work around your schedule. Beautiful and unique portraits can be taken outdoors any time of year. Late afternoon light creates wonderful warm images and can be used to your advantage if it suits your schedule.

How long does a session last?

Usually, a session lasts about one hour. The first portion is used to get you comfortable with the camera and photographer. Some formal portraits will then be taken. The last portion is used to photograph you in a more relaxed manner, when you have become comfortable with the process. This portion of the session often results in the nicest images.

How should I prepare for my photo session?

I recommend a brief planning session with me to discuss the type of pictures you envision. Dress for your pictures in solid colors. Fancy dress clothes or play clothes can make beautiful pictures. Make sure you are well fed, rested, and comfortable.

When will I see my photos?

Within a week, select images from the session will be available on a private website for you to review.
